More on productivity..
Dovetailing rather nicely with the previous post about increasing productivity is this post: The Overworked, Networked Family: Financial News – Yahoo! Finance which discusses the way in which technology is changing our lives. Contrary to popular belief about the increasing lack of free time due to being accessible, some of the people in the article really rely upon increasing connectedness in order to have more freedom. Again, the fundamental point, in my mind, seems to be that productivity is going up with these various technologies and your time is allocated better. But, we have to shift our ideas about when one is working and when one is playing. There’s less and less requirement for everyone’s work day to encompass the same hours as their colleagues.
